چکیده
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common and second leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. The current standard care for nonmetastatic colon (CC) surgery followed by adjuvant treatment when a stage III or high-risk II CC diagnosed. Although 80% patients with 60% are cured alone, some them would benefit treatment. detection predictive biomarkers important to select in recurrence guide decision aim this study find useful biomarker detect I-III high risk use differential proteomic. A total 73 tumor samples from completely resected were included study. Patients stratified into two groups: Group (disease free after 5 years follow-up) B (patients who have relapsed). We perform quantitative proteomic large-scale LC-MS/MS-based assay using label techniques as SWATH-MS obtain profiling identify effective protein networks predict these patients. interesting proteins based on p-value 1.5. also analysed main clinical molecular characteristics. 25 group 48 B. median age was 68,12 (8,8; 44-85) 70,27 (8,5; 48-89) 52% 60,4% men. 48% CC, while 51,7% 41,7% at diagnostic. Only 2 I both 87,5% had histopathological negative prognostic factor vs 68% A. NRAS gene mutated 6,3% B, no mutations Loss CDX2 immunohistochemical expression detected 10,4 % tumors 4% showed that 4 significally overexpressed tumors: integrin beta-1, fibrillin-1, cacyclin binding prolargin. overexpression relapse suggests possible role biomarkers. Prolargin showing very levels only patients, having autoimmune diseases can justify findings. More studies needed validate

A 15-gene signature for prediction of colon cancer recurrence and prognosis based on SVM.
OBJECTIVE To screen the gene signature for distinguishing patients with high risks from those with low-risks for colon cancer recurrence and predicting their prognosis. METHODS Five microarray datasets of colon cancer samples were collected from Gene Expression Omnibus database and one was obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). After preprocessing, data in GSE17537 were analyzed using ...
متن کاملProteomic profiling of cancer biomarkers.
Early detection and correct diagnosis are essential for effective treatment of cancer and patient survival. Complete sequencing of the human genome, and the genomes of other species, provides valuable tools for discerning the genetic abnormalities in cancer. However, differences between cancerous and normal cells reflect more than variations in genetic sequences and abundance of transcribed RNA...
متن کاملBiomarkers For Colon Cancer
49 This supplement is intended to focus on biomarkers for colon cancer. Biomarkers of survival in colon cancer, detection of new colon cancer biomarkers in tissues and body fluids, and new methods for the detection and elimination of micrometastases in colon cancer are included within the supplement's scope. Biomarkers in Cancer aims to provide researchers working in this complex, quickly devel...
متن کاملExpression of miR-221 in colon cancer correlates with prognosis.
MicroRNAs are increasingly important in the study of cancer because of their ability to down regulate the expression of tumor suppressors and promote tumorigenesis. Here, miR-221, which is dysregulated in various tumors, was investigated for its expression in colon cancer tissues and its correlation with patient prognosis. Colon cancer tissue samples were obtained from 182 individuals who under...
متن کاملPredictive Biomarkers and Personalized Medicine Common Cancer Stem Cell Gene Variants Predict Colon Cancer Recurrence
Purpose: Recent evidence suggests that cancer stem cells (CSC) are responsible for key elements of colon cancer progression and recurrence. Germline variants in CSC genes may result in altered gene function and/or activity, thereby causing interindividual differences in a patient’s tumor recurrence capacity and chemoresistance. We investigated germline polymorphisms in a comprehensive panel of ...
